The busiest time on the farm is when June and Everbearing Strawberries are at their peak of harvest and Raspberries say hello! If you were at the farm last weekend you would have noticed this “Berry Crescendo” Each year we experience this together - staff, guest and grower alike. I think we all look forward to the excitement of it as well as the relief of having it behind us.
We all seem to fall into a relaxed summer pattern now as Blueberries are certain to follow Raspberries and Blackberries follow Blueberries.
We’ll kick off July by wishing Happy 150th Birthday to Canada with our 12th annual July 1st Pancake breakfast for you, with proceeds going to Breast cancer research in memory of Liz Krause. New this year - we are bringing in the “Dog’s” - hot dogs that is! Chef Jeremy wanted to keep our guests fed happily all day long and has teamed up with 2 of our great 248th Trail partners, JD Turkey Farms and Bonettie Meats. They will be supplying us with their gourmet hot dogs to help us raise more money for this cause between 12 & 3pm on July 1st.
Blueberries and Blackberries take us all the way through August. Everbearing Strawberries give fruit once again and Raspberries take us all the way to the harvest finish line right to the first frost in October.
Newly released dates for 2 upcoming events, Boot Scootin BBQ. Gather your friends, secure your tickets and get ready to enjoy a tasty BBQ outside in the warm fragrant air of the farm. Another new one to secure is the Covered Wagon in the berry fields with a private chef and server. Nothing quite rivals this new summer experience.
Watch for our new Friday night Fresh Sheet (menu) on our website each week as we expand the Winery Restaurant hours and food choices those nights. Relax with family and friends as you eat Farm to Table in any of these 3 new venues created just for you to enjoy more of the farm.
Limited seating so reservations are recommended.
