Atlanta Buying Trip

January 27, 2017

And we’re off... Atlanta that is, to buy product for you from the largest buying show in North America.  We believe you are worth traveling the distance to source new and exciting merchandise for your gift giving, your kitchen daily grind, and for your home decor.

We spend 5 days working 14 hour days (just like in berry season) to find these gems just for you.

This investment is well worth it for us when we hear how much you like the products we’ve chosen!

We had so much fun choosing butterflies for the 4th Annual Butterfly Release in July.  This event is very meaningful and touching - one you won't want to miss.

Ann is my show warrior who keeps me on track with all of the details of mapping us out, knowing where we have been and where we need to go next.

She is the keeper of the many lists Tammy and Gina in the office prepare for us before we go.  The lists tell us where we bought from previously and what product our guests loved so much, we couldn't keep them in stock.

Then of course it's the number crunching.  How much have we spent?  How much is left to spend?

Our biggest challenge this year was the same as last year - the dollar and the 30% difference it makes for us and you.  We are very big on sourcing and carrying local BC and Canadian products, so combining them with all the new items we found at this show, will make for an exciting year for all of us!!

We fell in love with the Bridgewater Candle Company – when you buy one candle, it feeds one child 3 meals a day.   We love that idea so we are bringing them to the farm so we can all participate in this wonderful opportunity.

Seda France has been one of my favourites for many years and because of that we have decided to bring them in.  Luxury candles for your home in decorative ceramic containers with hand painted gold accents.  100 plus hours of burn time in fragrances of Monarch & Japanese Quince, French Tulip, Delphinium and Red Amber.

You won’t be able to live without them! Bonus to these beautiful candles – the decorative jars become useful in the home as a vase, planter or keepsake treasure.

We can hardly wait to share with you all the wonderful items we have found!
