Feeling proud of our winemaker Sandra Lee!
The Northwest Wine Summit has released the winners of the 2016 wine competition. Of course we are over the moon to announce the results. In the competition there were 1234 wines submitted from BC, Washington, Oregon and Montana. We were awarded a bronze medal for the Strawberry Rhubarb and Blackberry wines. A silver medal for our Cassis wine, and a gold medal for our Sparkling Blue. It gets better - a Superlative medal for our Cassis wine, and the Crystal Rose to our Sparkling Blueberry. The Crystal Rose and Superlative awards are a first for our 3 year old winery, quite an achievement wouldn't you say!
Eleven wines were chosen for the Crystal Rose award and we had one of them! Sandra Lee is a very innovative and creative winemaker and these awards are a tribute to her winemaking skills. Stop by and watch her in action behind the glass doors as she crafts.
Ted, Tammy, Nayla and the wine tasting bar crew will welcome you to saddle up and taste these fine wines. Make sure to let them know you are a wine club member as they have a special deal for you.
So what goes on behind those glass doors? What is it like to make wine and how does it all work? Sign up for an informative class to learn from Sandra Lee. Learn about wine tasting, Krause style, with Ted, our winery manager.
Watch for his fun and captivating classes in 2017, I'll see you there!
